A modern bach on two levels with magnificent views. There's drive-on access to the property with off-road parking for two vehicles, and a walking track down through native bush to the jetty. Additional vehicles and boat trailers can be parked by the roadside. The property has two moorings and dinghies and kayaks for use.
The house has a bluetooth stereo, magazines, games in a cupboard, a TV monitor for watching movies you bring with you, and gets a clear signal for 2degrees, One and Spark mobiles. But there’s deliberately no TV aerial or satellite dish. If you’re looking for more to do, it’s only 3km to the bar, restaurant and boat ramp at the nearby Portage Hotel, or 7km for coffee at Te Mahia or Mistletoe Bay.
Note that this is a family holiday home that's rented occasionally to contribute to the running costs. It is not a permanent rental, and needs to be looked after by guests. Under Marlborough District Council Sounds Resource Management Plans the house is limited to a maximum of 5 Paying guests.
Special conditions:
Prices are for 4 people, with extra people $10 each. Two night minimum stay.
We live too far away to service the house, so linen cannot be supplied and guests must clean the house when departing. Neighbours unlock and open the house for guests.
Ask us about our moorings if you wish to use them.
And please note that our house is no smoking, and no dogs or other pets.
NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to clean the house and do the dishes before you leave, and bring your own linen (sheets/pillowcases/towels/bathmats/tea towels).

Summary: We had a great one week stay at this property. The place was clean and well organised with most things you would need. The heat pump fantastic to return to after a day out fishing and sitting out on the deck with a glass of wine watching the sun go down magical. At night you can hear the Morepork calling and we even heard a deer roaring. The fishing was fantastic. Huge workups of Kawhai leaping out of the water everywhere. We have had the best fishing here than anywhere else we have ever fished in the sounds and you dont have to motor far to catch them. Biggest Snapper caught was a whooping 58cm! Saw a massive black stingray under the jetty whilst filliting fish. We will return in the summer next time when we can enjoy swimming at the beautiful beaches around the area. Owner prompt to answer any queries I had and gave very helpful instructions. Great value too! Thankyou for the fantastic memories....

Summary: Lovely location. A breath of calm and fresh air. Enjoyed playing Yatzhe, exploring KenePuru Sound beaches and beyond. Trips on the Pelorus Mailboat and e-ko Tours on Queen Charlotte Sound. A beautiful get-away-from-it-all family holiday home.
